    6/26/07 -- Katie Breen - W1KRB - who was scheduled as our League rep this year, had an accident over the weekend, & on doctor's orders, cannot join us.
    Her stand-in is:


    Dan Henderson - N1ND - the Regulatory Information Specialist at League headquarters & ARRL Field Day manager. His duties encompass FCC rules, antenna restrictions, & international operating. Dan previously ran the ARRL's contest program for 8 years, & frequently operates from W1AW during contests. He's also very interested in emergency communications, DXing & Elmering. His outside interests include golf, computers, travel, reading, the Boston Red Sox & Notre Dame athletics.

    Dan's been active in Elmering new hams working at ARRL HQ. His forum will cover recent FCC rules changes & the exciting new horizons for amateur radio.

    Thanks, Dan, for taking on this last minute assignment!

  • Forums & Seminars:

    Todd Heitkamp - NØVBW (Very Bad Weather) - Warning Coordination Meteorologist, National Weather Service, Sioux Falls, will be our featured presenter, giving a two-hour seminar on severe weather spotting. The pre-eminent authority on this subject in our area, he began his National Weather Service career in 1987, moving to his current position in Sioux Falls in 1994. He's received two Department of Commerce's Bronze Medals for work in the development of NWS safety brochures & for public outreach activities, plus a NWS Modernization Award for product development.
    Todd's also a fisherman, golfer, husband & father of 3 active children.
