LADIES' DAY ACTIVITIES
Saturday, June 30th

so she can plan her fun activities for Hamboree too!
No tour bus this year.
Instead, we offer a self-guided visit to some of the places you've seen in past years on the tour, but with all new attractions, plus two new stops.
Get together in groups of 4 or 5, with one volunteering as driver, and take in the following:

 Saturday in the Park
Noon to ?
The upper Midwest's premier music festival -- Free admission, with free, but limited, parking at the Tyson Events Center -- Then ride the shuttle to the Grandview Park Bandshell; it leaves every 15 minutes to & from the Tyson, directly across the river from the Marina Inn
 Sioux City Art Center
10:00 - 5:00
Just East of the Tyson Events Center -- Current exhibits include Sculpture Blocks by Ken Peterson, Green Chairs Competition, Regionalism - Selections from the Permanent Collection, and Grant Wood's Corn Room mural (found on the walls of a local hotel currently undergoing restoration)
 Charlie's in the Holiday Inn

Directly South of the Art Center on Gordon Dr. -- Some of the best food in town & at reasonable prices!
 Siouxland Humane Society

Two blocks West of the Tyson on Tri-View Ave. -- A beautiful, contemporary facility designed with both pets and people in mind -- Exists solely on adoption fees and public donations
 T&S Antiques - 9:30 - 5:00
5 minutes from the downtown locations at 501 S. Lewis Blvd. (Take Gordon Dr. east across the viaduct to the South Lewis exit, then through the Leech Ave. intersection & it's on your right) -- This is your 3900 Club webmistress' shop & there will be Hamboree discounts offered!
A suggested itinerary may sound like this:
- Gather in Marina Inn lobby 9:00-9:15
- Shopping at T&S
- Petting at Humane Society
- Inspiration at Art Center
- Lunch at Charlie's
- Music infusion at the Park
- Nap at the hotel
